Ready for some Selena Gomez en español?

The Wizards of Waverly Place star has released a Spanish-language version of her hit song, “A Year Without Rain,” in what just might become a trend for the Disney princess. Gomez, 18, appeared on Lopez Tonight this week and expressed her desire to record an album in Spanish, as soon as she’s sufficiently conquered the language. (She also busted out a performance of “A Year Without Rain” with a Spanish verse.)

Let’s all escuchamos a “Un Año Sin Lluvia” in the video below. How do you think Selena did?

Selena Gomez wants to duet with Cheryl Cole

Monday, November 15th, 2010

Selena Gomez wants to duet with Cheryl Cole. The U.S. pop star is a big fan of the “Promise This” singer and insists it would be a dream come true if they could record a song together. She said, “I’m so a massive fan of Cheryl. I want to be her best friend! I love everything about her. She’s my role model. It would be my dream to collaborate with her.”

As well as wanting to work with Cheryl, Selena, 18, is also a fan of Katy Perry, and has revealed she was so grateful when the “California Gurls” hitmaker let her record the song “Rock God” instead of her. She told Top of the Pops magazine, “Everyone wants songs written by Katy Perry. I asked her and she was so nice – she just said, ‘Yeah, you can have it.’ She was very kind.” The song “Rock God” appears on Selena’s second album “A Year Without Rain”.

Selena is not the only star who wants to work with Cheryl. Rihanna recently revealed she is hoping to collaborate with the Girls Aloud beauty after they met when she performed on U.K. TV talent show “The X Factor”, on which Cheryl is a judge. She said, “Cheryl Cole is the s**t, not only that she’s f***ing hot.”

“It seems like it’s something my fans really want, and also something that’s so not typical for me to do, work with another person who’s in the same genre as me, so I think it’ll be amazing.”

Selena Gomez was ‘inspired by Cheryl Cole’

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010

Selena Gomez has admitted that she draws inspiration from Cheryl Cole. The A Year Without Rain singer revealed that it was the X-Factor judge’s music that helped her to get through a difficult film shoot in Budapest. The 18-year-old told Cosmopolitan, “It was the first time that I was going to be gone from America for over three months because I had to shoot a movie in Budapest. “I picked up her CD and they gave me Girls Aloud things and a DVD of her, and her music got me through my whole movie. She made me feel better, I just love her music, and I think she’s a really nice person. “She’s been through a lot, but she carries herself with a lot of class, and I love that. She’s a big influence on me.”…

Selena Gomez Flipped Out over ‘Speak Now’

Monday, November 1st, 2010

The Best Friends Forever or BFF`s, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez (aka. TayLena) are really like sisters.

Taylor, 20, dished to Radio Disney’s Ernie D during her take over about their super-close friendship. She shared, “She and I are very similar. We are sort of like sisters in a lot of ways, and the way we deal with each other is very sisterly. We [both] realize there is no cure for what we have, which is this need for love to make sense, and it just doesn’t, so we both just go to dinner and vent about it.”

And what about Selena’s reaction to Speak Now? T said, “It was really, really awesome. She knows me so well that she could tell exactly which song is about which person. Her favorite was a song called ‘Dear John’…because she knows the story behind it.”

Taylor And Selena Really Know How To Love Their Friendship ;) . I Surely Love The Friendship Of The Girls :)
