Monday, March 28th, 2011

Disney beauty Selena Gomez turned heads when coming to celebrate Perez Hilton’s 33rd birthday on Saturday night, March 26. Taking the Blue Ball Birthday Bash to another level, the “Wizards of Waverly Place” actress was hardly recognized as she dressed herself from head to toe in blue.

For the party, the 18-year-old donned a bright blue bubble dress, sequined stockings and blue peep-toes with a short bob big, bright blue lipstick and eye make-up. Socialite Life reported that she serenaded the blogger with a rendition of “Happy Birthday”. Afterward, she tweeted, “Happy Birthday @PerezHilton what a great party.”

Selena wasn’t the only celebrity attending the bash held at Siren Studios in Hollywood. Victoria Justice, Raven-Symone, Eliza Dushku, Aubrey O’Day and Jesse Tyler Ferguson were among those present, while “Glee” star Darren Criss, YouTube sensation Greyson Chance and ’80s pop star Debbie Gibson performed.

Selena’s boyfriend Justin Bieber was unable to come to the party, and so were Taylor Swift, Nelly Furtado, Charice and Lady GaGa. Still, they sent Perez video messages wishing him a happy birthday. Charice, in particular made a song tribute to Perez by singing him GaGa’s “Born This Way”.

Rebecca Black, ‘I Admire Selena Gomez’

Saturday, March 26th, 2011

Rebecca Black told People‘I am so dorky when it comes to Justin Bieber. & I have a little mini shrine in my room.‘ On possibly collaborating with Justin: ‘I’d scream at the top of my lungs and possibly not be able to sing again.’

On Selena Gomez: I totally admire her. I think it’s awesome that she hasn’t taken that downward spiral that other child stars have taken. And I really love Katy Perry, too.’

On Lady Gaga calling her a ‘genius’ to MTV: ‘I freaked out. I’m 13 and I never thought Lady Gaga would even know my name. I’m the kind of girl that dances to Lady Gaga with a hairbrush in her room at night.’

On Rihanna, Chris Brown & Justin Bieber: ‘Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Rihanna, those are my favorites, definitely. Justin Bieber I find an inspiration overall: I love his music, he’s adorable and I love that he’s so young and so big. And Rihanna, how she came out of the Chris Brown thing so strong, that is amazing to me.’

In five years, which celebrity would you want to be like? ‘I would love to be like Justin Bieber or Selena Gomez. They were catapulted into stardom when they were so young, like I was, and they still haven’t gone down the wrong path and I hope neither or them will. I find that really inspiring.’

You said he was like your little brother: Ellen DeGeneres leaves Selena Gomez red faced over  Justin Bieber relationship denial

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

Ellen De Generes is not someone you want to lie to – just ask Selena Gomez.

The 18-year-old actress was caught out by the chat show host who reminded her of her last appearance on the show – when Selena denied she was dating Justin Bieber.

While Ellen welcomed Selena onto her show warmly it wasn’t long before she had the actress squirming in her seat as she showed clips of Selena saying the 17-year-old was ‘little’ and ‘like her brother’.

DeGeneres played the clip of Gomez’s last visit on the show from September 2010 which saw the actress scrunch up her face and strongly deny she was dating the pop star.

When asked if she was dating Bieber Selena responded: ‘He’s little. He’s like my little brother. That’s weird to me.’

As the clip finished Selena put her head down in her hands and wailed: ‘Don’t take me to jail.’

The Dinsey actress was showing off her flawless figure in a tight bodycon white dress and had her brown hair flowing loosely as she was interviewed on the Ellen De Generes show aired today.

Ellen teased Selena for denying the romance and making her look a fool going public with her relationship with the pop singer at the Vanity Fair Oscar party, while the actress pleaded she didn’t lie.

Selena said: ‘I promise you I didn’t (lie). He’s just so sweet.’

The young couple have been separated in recent weeks as Justin touring the U.K. and Ellen presented the actress with a pillow with Justin’s face printed onto the front to keep her company while she is away.

Meanwhile in the U.K. Bieber fever has hit Manchester as the pop sensation is performing in the town tonight.

Today the Never Say Never singer cooled down at The Chill Factor, Manchester’s indoor real snow slope.

Justin was seen snowboarding down the snow with a red cap on backwards and judging from the look on his face he didn’t seem to confident on the board.

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011

SELENA Gomez is always under the watchful eye of her parents. The 18-year-old singer and actress — who’s currently romancing Justin Bieber — likes living with her folks close by, even if it does mean she doesn’t always get to be alone with her beau.

“I love having them right there. I love their company and I like knowing they are there at home just in case something happens.

“I like having them around and they get on with all my friends. Being at home is just nice and that’s how I want it to stay.”

Gomez recently revealed how she came to meet Bieber.

“Uh, almost, like, two years now. His manager called my mom, who’s my manager,” she said.

Selena has also confessed she was “hurt” by Justin’s fans who criticized her via social networking site twitter, but has her fans and family who keep her strong.

“It’s hard. It hurts, it really does. I don’t feel like I’m doing anything wrong. I’ve been best friends with him for a very long time,” she said.

“It does hurt my feelings a lot but I try not to focus on it. I have a strong family and great fans.”

Thursday, March 10th, 2011

Justin Bieber‘s main gal pal Selena Gomez stopped by Ryan Seacrest‘s radio show on Tuesday morning to pimp her music and sing the praises of her mom and her man (sort of).

While the main reason for the visit was to debut Selena’s latest single, “Who Says,” of course the Biebs was brought up. So what did the 18-year-old have to say about their budding romance?

Not much! The singer remained relatively tight-lipped when it came to those questions. But she did talk about the age gap between the two, saying that even though she’s 18 she feels like she’s “15.”

Sel-Go also talked about how close she is with her mom and manager, as well as what she does to get her mind off the “haters” — ignore them!

Justin Bieber Talks ‘Hot’ Selena Gomez, R-Pattz Dating tips

Thursday, March 10th, 2011

Now that they’ve made their big public debut at Vanity Fair’s Oscar party, Justin Bieber is being a little more open and willing to talk about his relationship with Selena Gomez.

In an exclusive interview with UK’s The People (Justin is currently in the midst of a UK tour), Bieber talks directly about Gomez and why he finds himself so attracted to her. In physical terms, he shares: ““She’s hot. Of course every guy likes the girl to be hot, which Selena is.” But Bieber isn’t entirely looks-based, as he also explains:

“It’s so important that a girl makes me laugh … I like to mess around and pull jokes on people so I like to be around people who make me laugh and share my sense of humour. That’s Selena for sure.”

Bieber also shares a great little story about how Robert Pattinson broke the ice with him by letting Bieber touch his swirly locks … and then gave him some dating tips! Bieber says:

“One day Robert Pattinson came up to me at a party and said, ‘For whatever reason, people love our hair and it’s always a great ice-breaker with girls.’ He is like, ‘Hey my name’s Robert. Want to touch my hair?’ I thought he was joking, but it really works. It’s funny. All the hair polls that are done is either me first and Robert second, or the other way around. Robert is a very cool guy. I really like him.”
